This album is perfect start to finish. And yes it’s better than Master of Puppets, but still close. For Whom The Bell Tolls was one of the first Metallica songs I’ve listened to and it’s still one of my favorites. About thing about favorites is Ride The Lightning. Favorite song of all time? Favorite album of all time? Favorite album shirt? All Ride The Lightning. Also, I really enjoy the song on this album, Escape. Sure it’s their weakest but it’s still a perfect song. 10/10 album, favorite Metallica album. MY RANKING 1. Ride The Lightning 2. For Whom The Bell Tolls 3. Fade To Black 4. Creeping Death 5. Trapped Under Ice 6. Fight Fire With Fire 7. Escape 8. The Call Of Ktulu

Put it on here, I had it when I was a very young man . It was a clear record . Yes it was a record not a tape or cd and I loved it . Put it on here and I’ll buy it . I’d never buy anything past And justice for all . After that y’all lost me .

Ride the Lightning is an extremely powerful and heavy album. Not a single bad or even decent song. From Fight Fire with Fire to The Call of Ktulu, every song is simply a masterpiece. 10/10, and if you don’t like it, you’re probably dumb or something!

Love this album, but apple decided to remove the first three songs and now I can't get them back. So A+ on the album but F- for iTunes

I could listen to the title track all day and not get sick of it. When I listened to For Whom the Bell Tolls for the first time, I thought it was the coolest thing I’ve ever heard.
