Friends In Love

Great LP that evokes a breezy summer vibe, starting with the wonderful first track, "For You." Even the album art/cover suggests the season. Glad to see Apple finally got it right. Terrific production, arrangements and Dionne in fine voice. Hard to believe how prolific she was those several years (as another reviewer notes "Heartbreak" came quickly on the heels of this one).

This is one of the finest albums both Ms Warwick and her producers put together. Her voice at this time was effortless. Her range is exhibited beautifully and her phrasing is a work of art. Intonation is perfect and overall just a lovely quality. She has a way of making all the material her own. I can just imagine she had a fun time putting this album together. It's the kind of album you can put on at a dinner party or while your cleaning. Try it, I think you will like it. One of my favorites.

Not one filler on this album! Dionne sounding fantastic in 1982. This album was released just before her "Heartbraker" came out toward the end of 1982. BTW, this is the correct album cover as I had the orginal album when it was released back in the day.

Seriously, Sony? Don't you realize this album cover is for Dionne's 1986 album "Friends" and NOT "Friends in Love"? They are two entirely different albums.
