  • One of the BEST!

    By Wardtree
Before I start, I have to say MICHAEL BRUCE IS NOT DEAD! I just saw him last month, and I 'm in regular email contact with him. OK, rant over, now for the review. This is among the top albums put out by this group. Every song is a gem, most of them with the NOT DEAD Michael Bruce. Not a dud in the lot. Of course, although I like his (solo) later stuff, nothing compares to the original group. They let you preview all the songs, so why not give a listen and see for yourself?
  • Killer Songs. Killer Band.

    By KorinaJam
The most important thing to remember about "classic" Alice Cooper was that their greatness was born from a team effort. Alice wasn't running the show. The Cooper contributed stellar songwriting that was incredibly diverse for any era. "Be My Lover" is catchy pop delivered with garage band rawness and enthusiasm, while almost unbelievably, the same band delivers the progressive "Halo of Flies" which to this day defies categorization. Of course, the indispensable producer Bob Ezrin was a key ingredient to the team's success. To Alice and his original band's credit, they gave Ezrin a lot of unique and stellar ingredients to cook up the winning Alice Cooper recipe. What's most amazing about "Killer" is how well it's stood the test of time. "You Drive Me Nervous" still rocks harder and cooler than most songs in the past several decades. "Killer" is less of an album and more of a journey. One you'll be glad you took. If you're new to Alice, Welcome. If you're a fan, welcome back.

    Excellent. His best work.
  • My favorite album of all time.

I love this album, I love it to death. Not only is it my favorite Alice Cooper album, it's my favorite album of all time. Every song is great and each of them have their own unique personality. I particularly love Halo of Flies, especially the section with just bass guitar and drums. What a cool drum part! I also love how Alice tosses in part of the melody for My Favorite Things in the second verse. Dead Babies is another classic. Every song is a classic! This is a terrific sounding album and still sounds fresh today. A timeless classic!

Amazing These are some of my all time favorite songs

Don't buy the whole album together because it is one more cent than if you bought the songs separately. But the songs are awesome
  • Killer, indeed.

Bought this album back in the day when it first came out (yes, I still have it) and I think it's hands down the best Alice Cooper album. As Michael Bruce once said "With Love it to Death, we cracked the door a bit, now we're going to kick it wide open." Every song is strong musically and lyrically with guitars cranked to 11 and Alice dripping with malevolence. It's hard to appreciate now, but this was revolutionary stuff back in 1971. The guitar intro to "You Drive Me Nervous" is one of the all time greats in rock and roll history. Saw them live in early 1972 doing the Killer show with Blue Oyster Cult that was a memorable concert!
  • 2nd best Alice album

A great work of composition, only second to 'Love it to Death'. Very melodic tunes that all seem to fit together as one large musical piece. Quite a brilliant creation.
  • Dead Babies Can't Take Things Off the Shelf!

Love this entire album! Humor and hidden messages (child abuse being one) are just some of the bonus'. Buy it!
  • An Underrated Masterpiece

    By LoveItToDeath
Alice Cooper (The band) does not nearly get the attention they deserve. People only remember Schools Out, No more mr nice guy, and Welcome to my nightmare. But this album is a masterpiece. Their second best album, just behind Love It To Death. Standout Tracks: Under My Wheels, Be My lover, Halo Of Flies, Desperado, Dead Babies, Killer (Just about the entire album).
