The Golden Compass (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Who could resiste such a wonderful and exiting movie soundtrack and book

Ok, Seeing as how some of you guys go on about saying this movie is athiest, why do you even care? I mean, it's a movie, and a seriously awesome one at that, but why would you care if it it's athiest or not, you shouldn't judge something because of that, and if you really are that religious just leave it alone, it's not as if this movie or the books are telling you God is fake. As for the music, I personally love every track on it, the music is beautiful and fits this movie perfectly, my favorite tracks would have to be Lyra, Ice Bear Combat, and Lord Asriel.

I am not very religious so I didn't see the problem with the book of the movie. However, I could see how some people could mistake as such an atheist book. I personally love it; the book and the movie. Again, I am not religious, but I can say this... Music is my religon. That is what a MUSIC reveiw is for; music. The music completed the books' overall theme and gave me goosebumps as I read the series yet again. I ove the song Lyra, as it gave me more of a vision of the character as a chosen young girl with a lot of ambition and destiny to fullfill. I think it is worth it to get the entire album, however, if you do not enjoy the other songs besides Lyra, I do not reccomend getting the entire album just for one song.

Alright, I am totally in LOVE with the books. The whole trilogy enchanted me, and I seriously wished it didn't end. I was beyond excited to hear the movie was coming out. And I saw it with my other Golden Compass Fan Friends. The movie did no justice. You couldn't follow anything that was happening, the events are all out of order, and the ending was not right at all. I advise you to read the books and avoid the movie.

I just wanted to buy the Kate Bush song. Bummer. I'll find a used or promo copy for 5 bucks or less.

some people realy need to learn not to reflect something on the personality of thye author of the trilogy.or religion. im not athiest but like the books are awesome im just on book one and i luv it

If you think the music on track 1 or track 25 is going to sound like the end credits - you're sorely mistaken. I was expecting the epic sound that was in the movie but I was wrong. I am very disappointed.

I looved this soundtrack, despite everyones views about the movie, this has to be one of my favorite film scores of all time
