  • The start of a brilliant career

For the upcoming release of the new Aerosmith album in 2012, I'll be reviewing the entire Aerosmith catalog and what a great album to kick it off with. Everyone knows that this album didn't sell well when it first came out because it was released on the same day as Bruce Springsteen's first album. You'd think that an album with Dream On would be a smash hit, but unfortunately it wasn't. But there's so much more great songs than that, check out Somebody, One Way Street & Movin Out. Steven Tyler's kind of singing in a different way than he would on future releases but he's still great and if you want to get into Aerosmith, this is definetely the album to start with and then work your way up.
  • Their blues rock albums are amazing!

Aerosmith, and Get Your Wings are two amazing albums because of the blues rock style. Oh, by the way, some people ask why Steven's voice was different, and this is the reason: he thought it would sound more "bluesy" I guess.

This album is incredible. Dream On is just an ok track…but every other song on this album is pure gold. Dream On would be at that status too if it wasn't so overplayed. My recomendation…search long and hard to find the physical copy of this album. Don't waste your money on itunes. It took my 2 years to find this album, but I finally found it in the 4.99 aisle at a best buy in Dayton Ohio and I am so glad that I waited. Killer album!!!!!

All I see are five star ratings. How can one of the greatest albums all times have anything other than five stars?
  • Without a doubt my favorite Aerosmith Album

Excellent assortment of rock and blues-rock material. This album contains highly underated gems like "one way street" and my personal favorite Aerosmith song, "Movin' Out". One of the greatest debut albums ever.
  • One of the classic debut albums

Nothing to review - nothing to say. As the Joe Perry Project would later say--and Aerosmith would still later agree--Let the Music Do the Talking.
  • Definitely

This is probably one of the most underrated Aerosmith albums to date. I don't know why people are just focusing on the Dream On part though. Of course, it's one of the best songs in the history of rock and roll, but there's also Mama Kin and Movin' Out and all the rest of the songs on the album. Appreciate all of the songs, not just one.
