  • Synergy of Beck and Hammer - Every Song Is Memorable

    By Spitting Lama
This is the best full album by Jeff Beck. And it might not be that way without the synergy created by Jeff's work with Jan Hammer. It is also the only J.B. album that I still listen to regularly all the way through. It's the songs…there is not a weak song in the bunch and the musicianship is impeccable. The Pump can still send chills up my spine. Star Cycle was the tune that made Jan Hammer the synth and keyboard player that I wanted to emulate. Space Boogie? Think about how many tunes off this album Jeff still plays live. Every Beck album usually has 2 or 3 tunes that I actually want to hear again. On There and Back - it's every tune. Truly one of my favorite "rock" albums of all time.
  • A Great Guitarist

    By DreadPirate
Beck is one of the best - and this album is one of his best. I feel that he is more like a jazz / rock fusion.
  • One of the Greatest Albums Ever

    By AuerswaldBlue
This Album was Shock and Awe for me...other than Hendrix, the scariest guitarist in history...Long Live JB!
  • Can't Miss!

Jeff is great but the keyboards are half the fun!
  • There and Back was the early 80s for me

    By ItsElemental
Musical genius of epic proportion. The Pump made Risky Business back then and makes my commute that much more fun now. So much inventiveness in one album; he set a bar far above so many musicians who have followed. It really was an album that changed my musical taste forever.

Jeff Beck is one of the Best. His song pump is like riding down the highway with a smile on your face on sunny afternoon getting off work.
