Bailey Zimmerman’s poetic lyrics serve as a love letter (or heartbreak letter) from the soul to the heart. An expertly crafted letter I should add. The pain, emotion, and ache that break through his lyrics make their voices loud and clear, which is exactly what is needed. To be able to feel and empathize with his words, finally having someone be able to express exactly how it feels, gives that soul vindication. The trials and tribulations of what the soul went through with the heart were all for not. The outcome is this gorgeous album that makes you feel like you are reading your favorite book that you can’t put down, no matter how much it’s breaking your heart to read. It’s too good to stop reading, too good to skip any songs. It’s been a long time since I have been able to listen to an album from start to finish. But before you know, the album is over and a cathartic sense of calm washes over you. Everything that was kept in has been released. It’s like an emotional cleanse and I am here for it. Spend the $8. Worth every single penny. PS: It’d be an honor to shoot one of your shows if you’re ever in the MD/VA/DC neck of the woods.
