This may not be for everyone but it is for me, Jealous, Bless Me and countless others are great praise and worship. Blend in Kirks songs and they did this in a prison environment, that in itself says enough. There will always be hate, if it’s not for you then just move past it, I’m sure you’ll eventually find something you like but for the rest of us, let us glorify how we want.

My 2yr old son request to listen to ‘Bless Me’ everyday. We attended the kingdom tour in Forth Worth and it was EPIC!! It’s amazing what God is doing through Kirk Franklin & Maverick City.

I've been feeling incredibly low and discouraged for over a week now, and I finally felt a true peace after 1) I prayed and poured it all out to Him, and 2) I listened to "Fear is Not My Future." Maverick City Music (plus also Tribl Music, whom they work with as well) always gives us good worship music. I will say that you and I must remember that our focus should be on Christ and on our relationship with him -- not on judging others. Also, someone else wrote about how they hated that Maverick City Music talked about Juneteenth. What is wrong with Juneteenth, which is the celebration of the end of slavery in the USA? When we are baptized, when we give our lives to Christ -- is that not a breaking of bondage? Shouldn't we celebrate that? When we have been set free, should we not celebrate that? And there is someone who wrote about the aim to help wrongfully-convicted Black men. I know, I know, you don't want to hear about disturbing things like how innocent Black people are seven times more likely to be wrongfully-convicted and sent to prison than innocent White people. When I read fiction book reviews, I often see people rate a book low because the book mentioned politics or social reform, and the reviewer always says, "I read fiction to get away from this stuff." But worship is not fiction. Jesus and what He stood for -- and continues to stand for -- is not fiction. Paul and the apostles as well as Moses put their lives on the line to bring freedom and hope to those who were enslaved (literally or by their sin) and who were hopeless. Paul himself wrote a great deal of the New Testament while in prison. Please, reread the Good Samaritan story about who is your neighbor. Doesn't everyone deserve the gift that Jesus gave to us? That's not a question I need an answer for from any person. No matter what you or I believe, Jesus has the final say, Jesus chooses each of us, and Jesus died (and rose again) for all of us. Please review the music. If you are unhappy that they talked about movements and social reform that you disagree with, you have the freedom to stand up and be the voice for what you believe. I wish you all well, may Christ be seen in your lives, in your words, and in your actions toward others.
