Still Slapping til this day! A slept on GEM! So many bad reviews, but the Album is another GREAT chapter in the Red Hot Chili Peppers Catalog! 🔥🤘🏽✊🏽🙌🏽
  • Both bad

They need a real lead guitar player. Stretching repetitive notes and making faces is boring. Nothing creative. Love the songs, but could be better with a better string man.

    It’s all good…
  • Getaway from this mess

Danger Mouse ruined this already fluffy aberration. They need to bring in the Dust Brothers on their next album to wake the funk up.
  • I miss Josh

    By punkrockclass1c
This album was amazing, so was I’m with you. The chili peppers esssentially discarded Josh like trash, happy to announce his departure and immediately broke that John would be rejoining. Don’t be surprised if John leaves in like 2 years. Anyways, I just wanted to say they’re good in their own ways, there is no better guitarist as each are perfect in their own ways <3
  • Josh is good

  • Outstanding!!! 🌶

I’m sick and tired of people comparing everything they recorded in the past to this amazing album! Do you really want them to still sound like Freaky Styley, Blood Sugar Sex Magik , Stadium Arcadium or there first , Red Hot Chili Peppers! They have involved in there playing and writing songs! I compare them with The Beatles, always changing, never being satisfied with always sounding the same! When I was living in Los Angeles back in the 70s and 80s, I was lucky to have seen them live a half a dozen times and each time they were evolving into a amazing live show! I’m looking forward to what they’ll sound like on there next release, until then I’m still enjoying The Getaway three years later! Thanks guys! Funk on!
  • Better than no new Chili Peppers

It’s hard not to miss John. This band was money with him in it. This album isn’t bad, it has some cool parts to it. Like the getaway has a cool beat with the tremolo effect, we turn red has a nice chorus mixed with a funky beat, The longest wave is a good song with a nice guitar intro, goodbye Angels is also good song, Detroit is a cool one, and Feasting on the flowers is an awesome song. All in all good album but definitely isn’t as inspiring as their older stuff.
  • Great Album
